  • GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS

    View the list of possible scholarship and grants under IMPORTANT INFO tab  (FREE MONEY).  You should apply for grants and scholarships first before you consider taking out college loans.

  • Exposure

    Helping students see their future by exposing them to historically Black colleges and Universities who offer alternative educational opportunities outside of traditional colleges.  

  • Alternatives

    Some Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) offer alternative educational opportunities outside of the traditional colleges.

  • Cost Effective

    The Black College Tour (BCT) is one week in duration and we’ve worked hard to make it as cost effective as possible.

Pinkard Youth Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization designated by the Internal Revenue Service. The Internal Revenue Service granted us 501(c)(3) status on August 14, 2014.

Vision Statement
The vision of PIE is to expose students of all ages to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the excellent educational opportunities and options they provide.

Mission Statement.
To increase the awareness of students and parents of the rich history and opportunities of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Goal
To inspire, encourage, motivate and guide students in the selection of an appropriate college for them and one which provides a rich educational experience.

How You Can Help
Your donations are welcome!   You may donate financial assistance to help a youth attend the tour.  Many students can also use your assistance in submitting applications to colleges, and obtaining comprehensive counseling services and year-round housing.  Donations are used to directly benefit students and fund student activities.
